Wellsky | Trouble Signing In | Troubleshooting
Summary Trouble signing in WellSky. There could be various circumstances preventing you from signing in.. It could be related to WellSky system maintenance, connectivity issues within the hospital, Internet Service Provider, or account lockout. The most common incidents created are from lockouts. Lockouts occur either from failed attempts logging in WellSky or non-usage of the account after 30 days. A lockout will have a WellSky message of "Authentication Failed". In either case, it requires your IT team to unlock your account or your Nursing Supervisors. You should create a ticket with IT during normal business hours. If you encounter a lockout outside of regular business hours, holidays, or weekends, Nursing Supervisors can assist you in unlocking your account quickly. However, if an incident is reported during those times, IT will still respond, but it may take longer than usual. Instructions 1. Ensure there is no system maintenance being performed by WellSky. An announcement or email is normally sent out prior to system maintenance. 2. Ensure the computer has connectivity. Look at the lower right taskbar and look for a WiFi icon or Screen Icon with cable. . If either one of these icons is not present, there is no connectivity. You can also verify connectivity by visiting a website such as Google or Yahoo. 3. Try using the "Forgot Password" on the WellSky log-in page. Although you may know your password, the account may have been locked. Contacting your IT department could take time, so using this option will help facilitate a faster resolution. You will need to know your security questions that were initially set up. Be advised that if your account locks, the "Forgot Password" will not work. You'll need to have your Nursing Supervisor or IT department unlock your account. If you don't know your password or security questions at all, it's best to just make a ticket with IT stating you need a WellSky password reset. ! Note: Night shift workers are encouraged to contact the Nursing Supervisor for assistance, as IT support is limited or non-existent. The Nursing Supervisors have the ability to unlock WellSky accounts to quickly resolve any lock-out issues. WellSky | Lockouts | Authentication Failed
Summary If you experience difficulty accessing Wellsky, multiple failed login attempts may result in a lockout, preventing you from answering security questions. Even if you remember your password, the account will remain disabled. Furthermore, accounts that remain inactive for over 30 days will automatically be disabled, requiring unlocking to regain access. If you are unable to gain access, the notification you will receive is "Authentication Failed." Instructions 1. To have your account unlocked you can create an incident with the IT department to unlock your account during normal business hours. The Nursing Supervisor can assist with lockouts after hours, weekends, holidays, or immediate action. You can still submit an incident with IT, but there will be a longer response time. Nursing Supervisors, CTOs, CNOs, CEOs, and HIM can only unlock accounts, not reset them. If a reset is needed, you'll need to create an incident. 2. Once your account is unlocked, you should be able to log in successfully. In case you are still unable to access your account, we recommend clicking on the "Forgot Password" link and answering your security questions to reset your password. It's important to keep in mind that your account will be locked again after three unsuccessful login attempts. Be advised that if your account locks, the "Forgot Password" will not work. You'll need to have your Nursing Supervisor or IT department unlock your account. If you don't know your password or security questions at all, it's best to just make a ticket with IT stating you need a WellSky password reset. 3. It's highly suggested you answer the security questions in WellSky. This can help prevent future lockouts. You can also update your security questions after logging in to WellSky by clicking on your profile in the upper right corner. How to prevent a lockout Since WellSky does not require you to periodically change your password, a good strong password that is easy to remember will be the easiest method to prevent a lockout. If you are the type of person that saves your password through the browser then it's very possible to lock yourself out. Reasons can range from forgetting to update your password in the browser when you changed it or using different computers with an old password saved. Using a different browser can be the cause since Chrome and Edge are available to use and store passwords independently from each other UNLESS you sign into the browser itself and allow it to sync. CHECK THE PASSWORD THAT IS STORED WITHIN THE BROWSER If you are unsure what browser you are using, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser and go to help. It'll be similar for both browsers. Chrome - Navigate to the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser and click. Scroll down to "Settings" and click. Click on the three lines in the upper left corner that shows "Settings" and select "Autofill. Click on passwords and it will show all the passwords that you saved with this browser. Click the eye icon to reveal your password. Edge - Navigate to the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser and click. Scroll down to "Settings" and click. Go to Passwords and click. You'll find your saved passwords. Click on the eye icon to reveal your password. (Keep in mind that passwords are stored independently for each browser and each computer IF you don't sign into the browser and allow it sync. If you use multiple computers, it's possible an older password is saved.) If you want your saved passwords to follow you, you'll need to sign into the browser. Look for a profile icon in the upper right corner of the browser and log in. This will keep your favorites and your passwords synced. If you already see your email in it, then you are good to go!

Pyxis
Summary The Pyxis MedStation™ ES system is an automated medication dispensing system supporting decentralized medication management. The Pharmacy department oversees this application and determines the type of access needed for the person accessing it. All nurses with the exception of CNAs will get security permission when onboarded by IT. This permission then replicates to Pyxis ES which allows the Director of Pharmacy to configure the account. The same credentials that are used to sign into the computer are the same for Pyxis. If you change your password for the computer, it changes it for Pyxis. The Pyxis account isn't considered completed until the Pharmacy department does its part. If you're a person other than a nurse and you're trying to access Pyxis, it won't work. It will need to be requested. Pyxis will only work on the hospital network. Even though Pyxis is a web application, the application has been IP scoped to work on the company network. Trying to access Pyxis outside the network will result in an error. You'll need to be on a VPN outside the hospital. YOU MUST SIGN INTO THE COMPUTER TO ACCESS PYXIS FOR THE FIRST TIME. Instructions 1. Your computer login and password are your credentials for Pyxis. (You must sign into the computer first, and set your password to access Pyxis.) 2. If you are in the Nursing Department, you automatically get Pyxis. The permission in your computer account replicates to Pyxis ES. The Director of Pharmacy configures the account. 3. If you're locked out of Pyxis, it's because you're locked out of the computer. Allow 15 minutes for the account to auto-unlock. If you don't know your password, you'll need to create a ticket with IT for a computer password reset. 4. If you were just granted access to a computer account, please allow time for account replication. It can take upwards of an hour for permissions to sync to your hospital's server then Pyxis. 5. If you are a Pharmacist trying to access Pyxis from home, you must be on a company computer and connected to a VPN. More information about VPN found here. Troubleshooting 1. If you're unable to log in, it's possible you are using an incorrect password. Your computer credentials are used for Pyxis. Agency Nurses - if you can't log in, then it's possible your account expired. See if you're able to sign into a computer first before logging into Pyxis. If this is the case, Nursing Supervisors, Nurse Schedulers, CNOs, HR, and managers should have access to the "Agency Person Extension" form in the Service Catalog of the ticketing system. Once the request is processed, the new expiration will sync with Pyxis. Please allow a sync time of upwards of an hour. Connectivity - make sure there is connectivity to the Med dispenser. A reboot may be required. New hire - you just started but can't access it. If your account was just created, it can take upwards of an hour for the account to sync with the hospital. The other reason is the Director of Pharmacy hasn't configured your account for use. You'll need to contact your Pharmacy department. Server - It's possible the Pyxis server is down. You'll know if nobody can access it. Create a ticket with IT so we can notify Pyxis. Offsite - nobody should be able access Pyxis outside the network for security reasons. You must be on a company computer using VPN if you are working outside the hospital. You must have VPN access. This can be requested from the Service Catalog of the ticketing system. Look for the shopping cart icon then scroll down to VPN. Unable to login - as mentioned earlier, Pyxis login is your computer login. It's possible you locked yourself out. Your account will auto-unlock after 15 minutes.

WellSky | Remote Access
Summary WellSky remote access is a type of permission for users wanting to access WellSky outside the hospital so as not to be confused with VPN access. When a user tries accessing WellSky outside the hospital, an authentication code is requested. If you see '0000's, then you don't have access because your cell number is not in the system. Some positions will automatically have permission and others will need to go through an approval process. Positions such as physicians, certain administrative, and at-home workers will most likely have access. VPN will allow you to use WellSky without the authorization code. You can request WellSky Remote access through the service catalog from the ticketing system. It will ask for a cell number. Some 8x8 numbers will work depending on the license, but you can use your own personal cell number. Instructions To request access to WellSky Remote Access, you can navigate to the Service Catalog or click on the image below. After WellSky remote access is given, the approved request will include a note of the URL to WellSky within the incident, emailed or cc'd if a providers email was included or you can copy the URL from the Landing. https://wellsky.nobisrehabpartners.com/Interactant/
